Last week Baku again aggravated the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
On October 24-30, 165 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani side were registered in the frontline between the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Karabakh. Intensive firing was registered in the directions of Martakert and Hadrut defensive positions. On October 26, at 4:45 p.m., local time, Armenian soldier Harut Grigoryan (20) was killed by a sniper at the Martakert positions of the line of contact.
It is noteworthy, the truce violation followed a monitoring by OSCE Minsk Group in the line of contact. It testifies to official Baku’s unconstructive stance to destabilize the situation in the frontline. Another evidence thereof is 750 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani armed forces in the line of contact only in October.
It may be concluded, Azerbaijan aims at misleading the international community disseminating information on violations of ceasefire regime by the Armenian side.
