On November 3, Armenian-UAE economic forum was on the verge of failure for technical reasons.

During Tigran Sargsyan’s speech it appeared that equipment providing simultaneous translation was out of order. The Prime Minister stopped his presentation but equipment was not repaired at once. Tigran Sargsyan had to invite an interpreter and deliver a speech anew.

However, it was not the only problem. Later it appeared that headphones were intended only for Arabic guests. As a result, Armenian journalists covering the event were left without headphones and failed to understand speeches delivered by the Arabic ministers in English.

The UAE delegation was headed by Foreign Trade Minister Sheikha Lubna al Qasimi. The delegation involved representatives of Abu Dhabi economic development department, free zone of Dubai airport, trade-industrial chamber of UAE, different banks and representatives of small and medium business. In the course of the forum, Armenia and UAE signed a memorandum of understanding.
