A tragic incident occurred in Umraniye district of Istanbul, Turkey. Father of three children Mehmed Selim Gecimli quarreled with a 28-year-old Elize Karagasanoglu, who was eight-months pregnant.
According to witnesses, Mehmed beat the woman, threw her down, pulled out a pistol, shot her in the head and fled the location.

Elize was taken to hospital, but doctors failed to save her life. They managed to save the child, performing a cesarean section.

It became clear Mehmed had a love affair with Elize and the couple had a serious quarrel several months ago.
