YEREVAN. - Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and his Australian counterpart Julie Bishop on Tuesday exchanged messages on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Australia.
In his message, FM Nalbandian noted that since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, the countries have managed to form strong and sincere partnership based on confidence and respect. The Armenian FM expressed conviction that there is a great potential for the development of relations, the expansion of dialogue, human communication and development of legal framework contributing to this.
In her message, FM Bishop, for her part, noted that during those 25 years Armenia and Australia had warm and friendly relations based on strong human ties and mutual benefits in the issues of international peace and security.
The Australian FM added that the joint efforts of the two countries have contributed to the development of wide political, economic, humanitarian and environmental agenda both in bilateral and multi-lateral formats.
Both FMs expressed satisfaction with the close cooperation in international organizations.
Edward Nalbandian and Julie Bishop highly appreciated the role of the Australian Armenians in the development of relations between the two states.
The FMs expressed conviction that the friendly relations between the states will further expand and deepen through joint efforts.
