On February 9, the Armenian Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan met with the German Ambassador to Armenia Matthias Kiesler.

The parties discussed Armenian-German bilateral cooperation in defense area. The parties referred to the issues of training of the Armenian soldiers in the military educational institutions of Germany, exchange of experience in various fields of mutual interest, and the joint participation in the NATO mission in Afghanistan.

They also discussed security issues of the region.
