An authorized protest action against the ongoing prospecting for uranium in Lernadzor will be held in Kapan, southern Armenia.
An action group was formed of those opposing uranium explorations. The protest action will be held in front of the Kapan Culture Centre, at 5:00 p.m., on November 11.
“It is no secret the operation of the uranium mine is fraught with grave consequences for the population in the region,” the group said in a statement.
