YEREVAN. - We have preserved our identity in the course of our history thanks to three principles: family, faith and language.

Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Republican Party (RPA) of Armenia, said the aforementioned on Wednesday at the meeting with the voters in Yerevan’s Erebuni administrative district.

Responding to the question of former Head of State Language Inspection, Lavrenti Mirzoyan, on preserving the mother language, and in particular his request to notify the owner of Double Tree by Hilton that the hotel violates the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On state language,”Karapetyan noted:  “From your question I understood that you have already decided who to vote for. In reality, we have preserved our identity in the course of our history thanks to three principles: family, faith and language. Preserving our language is utterly important. Will we pay attention to this? Certainly.

Our program is interesting also by what we say: We want to be a modern country, which will be recognizable and perceivable for the world but not at the expense of the three principles which we lean on.  We should understand that Yerevan should be accessible and recognizable also for our guests.”
