YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on Tuesday received Magdy Martínez-Solimán, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), and UN Development Programme (UNDP) Assistant Administrator and Director of the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support.
They discussed further cooperation between the Center for Strategic Initiatives of the government of Armenia and the UNDP, the press office of the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Karapetyan thanked Martínez-Solimán for the technical support to this center, and underscored collaboration.
“The Center for Strategic Initiatives is the platform where our future shall be developed,” added the PM. “And we [i.e. Armenia] are interested in cooperation with the UN.”
The UN assistant secretary-general, for his part, noted that they stand ready to continue to assist in the implementation of reforms in Armenia.
Karen Karapetyan, in turn, stressed that the Armenian government is ready to discuss any proposal regarding the voluntary sector.
