YEREVAN. – A total of 81 percent of the respondents in Armenia positively assess the actions by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan,

Director of the Gallup International Association Armenia Office, Aram Navasardyan, noted the abovementioned at a press conference on Friday, as he presented the results of a pre-parliamentary election sociological survey they conducted in the country, from March 12 to 19.

In his words, 25.1 percent of respondents consider Karapetyan’s actions “very positive,” 55 percent—“probably positive,” 10 percent—“probably negative,” 4.5 percent—“totally negative,” whereas 4.8 percent were undecided.

“[And] when asked, ‘How do you assess the government’s work?’ 10.9 percent gave the ‘fully positive’ response, 48.5 percent—‘probably positive,’ 22.3 percent—‘ probably negative,’ 12.5 percent—‘totally negative;’ 5.9 percent were undecided,” stressed Navasardyan. “Overall, 59.4 percent positively assessed the work of the new government.”

The parliamentary election in Armenia will be conducted on April 2.
