YEREVAN. - When making reference to certain claims by the diplomatic representations regarding the election process, the views of all the parties concerned, including relevant competent authorities, should be taken into account.
Spokesperson for the Armenian MFA, Tigran Balayan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am Thursday, referring to the statement issued by the EU Delegation to Armenia Wednesday.
In the statement, the Delegation noted that they are aware of and concerned by allegations of voter intimidation, attempts to buy votes, and the systemic use of administrative resources to aid certain competing parties.
“The Armenian authorities have repeatedly stated that they are committed to holding elections in line with high international standards and continue to take practical steps towards it. That is apparent.” Balayan said.
