YEREVAN. - Members of the “Justice in Armenia” initiative are going to visit Artsakh after the parliamentary elections, renowned American Armenian rock singer and co-founder of System of a Down, Serj Tankian, told journalists in Yerevan Friday.
In his words, he first visited Artsakh in 2001. A few days after the elections, they are going to revisit it with the group of “Justice in Armenia” initiative.
Canadian Armenian actress Arsinée Khanjian, for her part, noted that the attention to Artsakh is the obligation of each Armenian. In her words, it would be abnormal if Diaspora Armenians were only interested in the matters of Armenia, since Artsakh “is our common territory, our country, our land.” Apart from this, large number of Armenia citizens defends the borders of Artsakh, she added.
A number of artists from the Diaspora, including Serj Tankian, director Atom Egoyan and actress Arsinee Khanjian arrived in Armenia to carry out an observation mission during the parliamentary elections as part of the “Justice in Armenia” initiative.
