YEREVAN. – Numerous members of the Yerkrapah (Homeland Defenders) Volunteer Union (HDVU) of Armenia on Saturday visited Yerablur Military Pantheon in capital city Yerevan.

They paid tribute to the military servicemen that fell during the four-day war which Azerbaijan had unleashed against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), in early April 2016.

The HDVU members laid flowers at the graves of these fallen soldiers.

HDVU Vice-Chairman Khachik Mkrtchyan told reporters that the Armenian army was further rearmed after the aforesaid war, and the soldiers had become more cautious and vigilant.

And reflecting on the present-day situation along the line of contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani opposing forces and the military casualties of the past several days, Mkrtchyan noted: “We have to flourish the country by waging a war within a war; we have no other option.”
