YEREVAN. - Observers from Russia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) have revealed no violations during the parliamentary elections held in Armenia, Russian CEC Secretary Maya Grishina, who is in Armenia as part of observation mission, told TASS.

Grishina visited polling stations in Yerevan, while the representatives of regional election commissions of Russia watched the voting process in other cities of the country.

“According to the information received from them, no violations have been registered during the entire voting day. The information regarding the vote counting will be provided later,” CEC Chairman said.  

At the moment, all the polling stations are closed. The observers are present during the vote counting. “All the documents related to reception of ballots by voters and their machine recording are subjected to verification. The commission is acting accurately and the process is transparent,” Grishina said.
