YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission started announcing preliminary results of the elections that were received from small precincts in Armenian villages.

The results from 106 precincts have been received so far. Almost 1.5% of ballots have been counted.

The Republican Party of Armenia is leading with 59.99 percent.

The next are:

Tsaurkyan bloc – 22.12%

ARF Dashnaktsutyun – 8.37%

Armenian Revival – 3.07%

Yelk bloc – 2.28%

Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian bloc – 2.04%

Congress-PPA bloc – 1.22%

Free Democrats – 0.52%

Communist Party of Armenia – 0.39%

As of Sunday 8:00 pm, the voter turnout in the National Assembly election in Armenia was 60.86 percent of eligible voters. 

Overall, 1,574,974 out of 2,587,706 eligible voters took part in the elections, Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan noted at a briefing.
