Armenian NPP has not addressed Public Services Regulatory Commission with an appeal to increase prices for electricity sold to the Armenian Electric Networks, Commission’s press service informed NEWS.am.
According to the Armenian press, NPP faces serious financial problems, as a result of increase in prices for nuclear fuel. At the moment electricity produced by the NPP is sold at 4,604 AMD (including VAT) for 1 kWh. The price was approved by the commission on April 1, 2010.
In Jan.-Sept. 2010 Armenian NPP produced about 2 bn kWh electricity – 5% more that last year. It makes 42% of all electricity produced in Armenia.
