Armenian nuclear power station threatens Georgia, Georgian physicist Mikheil Kaviladze told Akhali Taoba daily.

He considers the station is obsolete, that increases the risk of accident. Thus, in case of leakage radiation the whole region will be jeopardized, as the radiation expands all over the territory, including Georgia, the scholar considers.

Armenia intends to construct a new 1200 megawatt nuclear unit with 60 years’ service life. Eurasian Development Bank and other investors are involved in the project, estimated at about U.S. $4 bln.
