YEREVAN. - Migration crisis is not simply the issue of one state.

CEO of Flagship Pioneering, entrepreneur Noubar Afeyan, who is also the co-founder of Aurora humanitarian initiative, said the aforementioned, speaking at the series of Aurora Dialogues interactive discussions held at the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan on Sunday (photos).

In his words, migrants are a diaspora within a diaspora. “This is not related to one country [alone]. In Armenia we know what the Diapora is and the challenges related thereto: apart from unemployment, it is the absence of privileges in host countries.  Refugees are forced migrants. In many countries migrants are the driving force of changes, who create jobs. For a long time I though why this is so. Migrants should have the courage to do something new, since the old jobs are occupies. In case of having the right tools, they will be leading innovators,” Afeyan stressed.
