YEREVAN. – Co-founder of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Ruben Vardanyan hopes that the Aurora Prize will become a live award.
“My personal dream is that we can do the awarding ceremony in Aleppo in peaceful time, in Deir ez-Zor where most Armenians died during the genocide time. It may not come true, unfortunately, due to different reasons, but this is my dream,” he told reporters summing up the Aurora Prize 2017 awarding ceremony.
Vardanyan added that his idealistic dream is that the Aurora Award will be canceled once, because there will be no need for humanitarian award any more.
