YEREVAN. – From now on, Armenia’s international agreements will be approved or canceled under the law, and the right of law initiatives will belong to the country’s government. 

Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan on Tuesday stated the aforesaid during the National Assembly (NA) debates of the bill on making amendments and additions to the Law on International Agreements. 

He recalled that this decision stems from the provisions of the Constitution that was adopted in 2015. 

There still are 30 international agreements on the NA agenda. Kocharyan added that the government is given one month to submit them to the parliament, and as bills.
