YEREVAN. – Schengen visa liberalization for Armenia is not removed from the agenda of the European Union (EU).

Head of the Delegation of the EU to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, stated the above-said at Wednesday’s discussion on EU-Armenia relations and their prospects, in capital city Yerevan.

In his words, however, there still are some matters that put off this visa liberalization. The EU ambassador said even though this issue is still on their agenda, a respective foreseeable future is not expected.

Also, Świtalski said they expect for the domestic violence prevention law to finally be adopted, and added that these kinds of changes cannot be circumvented. He noted that if Armenia cannot go to Europe, the latter should be brought to Armenia.
