YEREVAN. - Election of deputy chairmen was held in the standing committees of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday.

Deputy from the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Karen Avagyan was elected deputy chairman of the Committee on Education and Science, which is headed by Tsarukyan Bloc MP Vardan Bostanjyan.

Hermine Naghdalyan was elected deputy chairwoman of Committee on Foreign Relations headed by RPA MP Armen Ashotayn.

Two of Gagik Tsarukyan’s sons-in-law were also given the office of deputy chairmen: Argam Abrahamyan and Davit Manukyan were elected deputy chairmen of the Economic and Defense Committees respectively.

RPA member Arayik Hovhannisyan was elected deputy chairman of the Committee on Territorial Administration headed by Tsarukyan Bloc MP Vardan Grirgoyan.

Samvel Farmanyan will be the deputy chairman of the Committee on European Integration led by Naira Zohrabyan. Both Chairman of the Committee on State and Legal Affairs, Hrayr Tovmasyan, and its Deputy Chairman, Yazidi Rustam Makhmudyan, are RPA members.

MP from Yelk Bloc, Mane Tandilyan, will hold the office of the deputy chairwoman of the Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs headed by Gagik Minasyan.
