YEREVAN. - The Administrative Court of Armenia on Wednesday rejected the claim brought by leader of Yerkir Tsirani (Country of Apricot) Party Zaruhi Postanjyan on appealing the results of Yerevan Council election.
Postanjyan considered this decision illegal and made a statement before the court,
“We should use all the tools to fail the regime of Serzh Sargsyan. For this purpose it is necessary to rouse the people. One of the ways to struggle is our statement in this court. We had no opportunity to present this claim in the court and we thus present it before the court so that the public can assess this unlawfulness, which has taken place,” Postanjyan said.
She also noted that any judge, who has carried out an order not arising from the benefits of the law will be recognized as a criminal and be prosecuted under all the procedures.
“The court decided to involve the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) as a third party, but the RPA representative and the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) members represented one party. We didn’t want the RPA to be present, but the court had involved them as a party. The court was partial, stressing its political stance and defending Serzh Sargsyan instead of manifesting political restraint, which is a gross violation,” Postanjyan said.
