YEREVAN. - In April the Armenian Government approved the proposal on extending the programs of state support to the residents of Spitak earthquake and allocated 560 million AMD for solving the housing issues in Shirak and Lori.
The funds will be used to improve the housing conditions of 90 families, the State Urban Development Committee informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.
As of May 31, 83 families have been issued a certificate of apartment purchase. Apart from this, an agreement on direct funding support was signed with three families.
The Spitak quake occurred on 7 December 1988.
