YEREVAN. – The agreement [to be signed] between Armenia and the European Union (EU) is a result of a long negotiation process, French Ambassador Jean-François Charpentier noted at a press conference on Thursday.
The diplomat stressed that the subject matter of this agreement is very broad.
“And I hope that the document will be signed at the November summit in Brussels,” Charpentier added.
He recalled that France was an active supporter of resuming talks, and it had exerted considerable respective efforts.
“The signing of this document is very important from the viewpoint of political balance in the region,” stated Jean-François Charpentier.
