YEREVAN. – France is saddened by and sorry for closure of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charpentier stated at a press conference on Thursday.

In the diplomat’s words, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) carries out an interesting and important activity.

“France, and not only in France, regrets the decision that was taken,” he noted. 

But Charpentier recalled that OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier was in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan these days, and he discussed—with Armenia’s leadership—the avenues for continuing cooperation.
