YEREVAN. – Apparently, US President Donald Trump gives priority to the economic component, and not to climate issues.

Environmentalist Karine Danielyan stated the aforesaid commenting—at the request of Armenian News-NEWS.am—on Trump’s decision to withdraw the US from the Paris climate agreement.

“The activities of the Paris agreement on climate issues will start soon, and that’s why it’s early to speak about its implementation, let alone its results,” noted Danielyan. “It’s difficult now to speak about Trump’s [respective] position, since there is not enough information. At the same time, the US has long been skeptical about the climate declaration, since it undermines the foundations of neoliberal economy.”
