YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Tuesday signed a decree.

Accordingly, Vahe Stepanyan has been appointed Government Chief of Staff.

On May 25, then Government Chief of Staff-Minister Davit Harutyunyan was appointed Minister of Justice.

Subsequently, Stepanyan, who until then was serving as First Deputy of the Government Chief of Staff-Minister, was appointed interim Government Chief of Staff-Minister.

As a result of structural changes in the government, however, the office of Government Chief of Staff-Minister has been abolished, and there solely will be the position of Government Chief of Staff.
