YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Friday received an International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) delegation comprising discussants in the annual meeting of the countries of the subgroup, which is led by Belgium and the Netherlands.
First, Sargsyan underscored such annual meetings, the press office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, he lauded Armenia’s cooperation with the IMF and the WB, and highlighted the joint programs that were implemented over the course of the 25 years since the country’s membership in these two international financial organizations.
Stressing that Armenia has launched major reforms aimed at long-term development, the President expressed confidence that the country’s collaboration with the WB and the IMF will continue within the framework of these reforms.
The IMF and WB delegation members also praised cooperation with partner Armenia, and said they stand ready to continue to work together and look forward to new achievements.
