YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Friday visited the General Department of Civil Aviation.

He got familiarized with the ongoing developments and upcoming projects in the aviation sector of Armenia, the press office of the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Karapetyan underscored the carrying out of respective works, and instructed to submit to the government staff specific proposals for the development of the country’s aviation sector.

In addition, the PM was informed that small aviation development program was also being developed.

“I’m convinced that small aviation will become a necessity, sooner or later, and its geographical scope will be quite large,” Karen Karapetyan stressed in this regard. “[And] we [Armenia] should be ready for this and have a vision for development.”
