The Lusakert poultry factory promises not to raise its egg prices during the New Year holidays.
Director Manasseh Yephremyan refuted the rumors that the factory received orders from the presidential residence. Producers are content with the current market prices and have no need to raise them. He also refuted the rumors that the unprecedented fall in egg prices this summer was the result of dumping. Dumping involves export and import transactions, he said. He accounted for the fall by the egg surplus in the market in summer. That is the reason why the Lusakert poultry factory reduced the number of chickens.
According to the information at NEWS.am’s disposal, other poultry factories reduced the number of their chickens as well, which stabilized egg prices.
