American Patrick Ponce, 15, broke a world record in solving a Rubik’s Cube, according to The Daily Mail newspaper of the United Kingdom.

At a competition in the US state of Virginia, Ponce completed the puzzle in 4.69 seconds.

The new world-record-holder confessed that he was shocked when he learned of his result.

The previous record-holder, Australian Feliks Zemdegs, had solved a Rubik’s Cube in 4.73 seconds.
