RA Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan brought in 2010 draft budget at the Government session.

The draft mentions the following microeconomic indexes: economic growth-1.3%, deflator-2%, budget deficit-5.5%. The Minister characterized 2010 budget as “modest, tensed and stabilizing” with the reduction of some expenditure items as compared with 2009. It is the first time Armenian Government introduces budget with the reduction of some expenditures. According to Finance Minister, budget expenses in 2009 will total AMD 1 trillion. Starting September 11, the document will be discussed in the ministries and might undergo certain amendments. Davtyan asked other Ministers to be understanding to budget cutting and expect no additional financing.
