Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu called Turkish Parliament factions to schedule meetings on discussion of Armenian-Turkish Protocols and the situation in the Caucasus.

Earlier Davutoglu met with Turkish National Assembly Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin, Voice of Turkey reports. Secretary of the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioglu was present at the closed meeting.

After the talks Foreign Minister demanded from all the parties having more than 1% of votes to schedule a meeting for discussion of the mentioned issues.

He underlined that the political consultations on the Protocols had already started. Davutoglu regretted on “Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict” and called the sides to make every effort on peace maintenance in the region. Turkish Foreign Minister added he had held large-scale negotiations on the issue with his Azerbaijani counterpart.

NEWS.am reminds that the mentioned “conflict” on Armenian-Azerbaijani border is a provocation of Azeri mass media. Things came to such a pitch, that Vesti.az. posted a photo of allegedly “killed” Armenian serviceman. As a matter of fact, in truth it was a picture of 2008 August war in Georgia with a body of Georgian soldier.
