On September 12, 2009 at 8 a.m. local time an explosion in High School #1of Grozny, Chechnya killed 2-3 policemen and wounded others. According to various sources, among the injured there are children. Presently all the children have been evacuated from the school. Operation-investigation team, as well as officers of Federal Security Service and Interior Ministry are working in the site.
Under preliminary version a suicide bomber activated an explosive device equivalent to 500 gm of TNT.
