Seven people were killed, six reported missing in a Koppu Typhoon, causing torrential rains in South China.

A cargo vessel flying Panama flag spilled 50 tons of fuel into the sea near Goalan Harbour, Chinese Xinhua news agency reports.

Presently maritime authorities try to keep the fuel leakage under control to prevent from spreading to the nearest aquacultural areas. Houses in several cities of the province were destroyed by landslides.

Typhoon Koppu is the fifteenth to hit South China this year.
