Armenian National Congress (the leading opposition force in Armenia) holds a protest rally at the Matenadaran manuscript depository in Yerevan today.

The protesters will march in the city centre as a final part of the rally. ANC leaders and supporters, including the recently released ex-Deputy Prosecutor Gagik Ghangiryan and MP Hakob Hakobyan, will deliver speeches. Khachatur Sukiasyan who was released upon giving a written undertaking not to leave the country, will also participate in the demonstration.

ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan is expected to make 1.5-hour detailed analysis of Armenia-Turkey normalization and developments in Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

It became known that Yerevan Mayor’s Office approved opposition meetings and rallies for September 19, 20, 22, and 24.
