RA 2010 state budget expenditures (AMD 860 bln) will be less than that of 2009 (AMD 945 bln), RA Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan told the journalists. Davtyan assured that the Government will keep welfare expenditures as well as those of national security protection. Instead, expenses on vehicles and appliances’ purchase are cut, whereas business trips expenses are halved.

“We switch to economy regime that will be implemented very carefully,” the Minister said. According to him, the capital expenditures of the budget will be reduced as well, but it will be compensated at the expense of foreign investments (WB, Asian Bank, European Bank) to support road and irrigation infrastructure. Davtyan underlined that the increase in wages and pensions is not budgeted. The Minister emphasized that currently there is no need of attracting funds from foreign investors.

Asked of the GDP per capita for 2009 and 2010, Davtyan ducked the question, NEWS.am informs.
