Overall 944 schools from the Armenian regions are connected to a school internet network, Armen Kulakhszyan, deputy director, National Center of Educational Technologies, told Armenian News-NEWS.am-Innovation.

“Another 450 schools will be connected to the network in 2012,” said Kulakhszyan.

Director of the center Hayk Maghakyan stressed $ 1.8 million has been allocated to unite schools in a single Internet network.

School network is an internal Internet connection which will enable schools to exchange information and participate in different forums. The system will also provide an opportunity for implementation of online educational programs
