September 29, 2009 RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan took part in World Bank and RA Government joint discussion on “Doing Business 2010”.

The issues on business environment based on “Doing Business 2010” researches were touched upon under “Reforming in hard times” title. It is the seventh annual report released by International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank.

In 2009 Armenia ranks 43th compared to 50rd place in 2008 amongst 183 world economies, the report reads.

Despite the progress, a serious and consistent work is needed not only in legislation but in administration improvement as well, RA Premier outlined. Tigran Sargsyan did not consider satisfactory the Armenia’s higher rating, adding there is a lot to do in this regard. Private and public organizations, as well as and the state’s assistance will ensure eventual success.
