September 2009, compared to August same year, egg and sugar price rise of 3.6% and 7.7% respectively was registered.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, in September 2009 compared to August 2008 the price of sugar increased by 25% in all the cities of Armenia (with Yerevan-8.3%). In the same period the price of the egg reduced by 13%, but surged by 3.6% as compared to August 2009.

September 2009 compared with December 2008 the prices for a number of product items increased as follows: potato-13%, onion-14.1 % and cabbage-19%.

On the whole, this September against August 2009, the prices of food products registered 0.2% growth throughout the Republic.
