Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was re-elected as the Chairman of “Justice and Development” Party (AK parti). The party congress was held in Ankara, on October 3, 2009.
As a result of secret ballot 1362 out of 1363 representatives voted for Erdogan, whereas the only vote was considered invalid.
