U.S. dollar will remain hard as a world currency, Andranik Tevanyan the Director of “Politeconomia” research Institute told NEWS.am.

According to him, rumors that some countries wish to discard dollar payments in oil deals, repeatedly bruit when the currency rate fluctuates.
Meanwhile, Iran’s refusal from dollar will not impact Armenia anyhow, even considering the Armenia-Iran oil-products pipeline construction, as well as the fact that Armenia relies on fuel imports only. “It is not a real issue. Transactions with any currency can be revised,” the expert stated.

Russia, China and Persian Gulf states, including Iran held talks on changeover from dollar reckoning in oil deals. According to world media, this process is due to be completed by 2018.
