Presidents of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Chisinau late on October 8, sources from Moldova told NEWS.am.

At the closing briefing of Foreign Ministers’ Council in Chisinau, RF Foreign Minister Serey Lavrov said the Sargsyan-Aliyev talks would be dedicated to Karabakh issue and Armenia-Turkey reconciliation. “These are parallel processes and they should not be linked,” he stressed.

“Any linkage of Armenia-Turkey normalization with the planned Armenia-Azerbaijan summit meeting with Russian leader on the sidelines of CIS summit in Chisinau, is inexpedient,” Lavrov pointed out meaning the upcoming trilateral summit meeting under RF President’s involvement.
