Even in case of budget income reduction, Armenia can overcome the global crisis by creating vacancies in environmental field. On 8 July Balash Khorvat, the UNDP representative for the poverty reduction in the region, stated.

Balash Khorvat believes Armenian authorities should exert their political will to reform “economic efficiency, social justice and management improvement” fields. Particularly the UN representative suggested running reforms in environment protection, social security and public health. “These reforms are possible if the authorities and the society grasp the gravity of situation” Khorvat said.
