Not a single way of settling the conflict can be acceptable without Nagorno-Karabakh’s consent, the Heritage party MP Larisa Alaverdyan told a press conference.

She considers a military way of resolving the problem the worst and equally disastrous for both sides. “However, Azerbaijan refrains from hostility, as realizes that it is unable to win,” she said. Alaverdyan emphasized that hostility is unlikely to resume as long as the OSCE Minsk Group exists. She thinks the current stage of talks cannot lead to a solution.

Today is 16 years since the ceasefire treaty was signed. Thereafter the conflicting parties signed another 19 documents.

Larisa Alaverdyan stressed that the Minsk Group has been working in this direction since it was set up.
