U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Tina Kaidanow will arrive on an official visit to Yerevan on May 14, U.S. Embassy in Armenia informed NEWS.am. The visit agenda is yet unclear.
Today Kaidanow arrived on a one-day visit to Azerbaijan to discuss Azerbaijani-U.S. relations. She met with representatives of local authorities and NGOs.
The U.S. considers Azerbaijan an important partner. The two nations have common interests in energy security, oil-gas projects and struggle against international terrorism, Kaidanow said. She added that Washington appreciates Azerbaijan’s role in ensuring international stability — from Kosovo to Iraq and Afghanistan.
