The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlut Cavusoglu must explain his position on Nagorno-Karabakh, and the Heritage Party will make its appraisal to his initiative to set up a subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh, Head of the Heritage parliamentary faction Stepan Safaryan told NEWS.am.
According to him, Heritage intends to demand an explanation from Cavusoglu regarding his recent statements. “We want to know the grounds for him, as PACE President, to call the Armenian Genocide into question, when the majority of the CE states recognized the crime,” Safaryan said.
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) refused to meet Cavusoglu, as he does not plan to visit Tsitsernakaberd, the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.
