Today the relatives of the March 1 victims tried to find out at EU Delegation’s office in Yerevan whether PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu, who is on a two-day visit to Armenia, will receive them tomorrow. However, they did not get a clear answer.

The victim’s relatives prepared a statement for Mevlut Cavusoglu and demand that he should be consistent in investigation of 10 murders of on March 1, 2008, without taking the Armenian authorities’ implausible explanation as a basis. The victims’ relatives intend to submit their statement to EU Delegation’s office in Yerevan at 11:00 a.m. on May 14 and hold an action of protest near the office at 3:00 p.m. If Cavusoglu receives them by 3 o’clock the action will not take place. The EU office has handed the demand to the PACE President, but it is yet unclear whether the meeting will be held.

Tomorrow Mevlut Cavusoglu will meet with Chairman of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, RA Parliament, Davit Harutyunyan. Committee is monitoring the final report by the ad hoc commission on the March 1 events.
