Chairmen of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Yerevan and Van, Martin Safrgsyan and Hakan Fidan, signed a memorandum on cooperation, which, however, will enter into force after the Armenian-Turkish border has been opened.

The programs are ready, and the sides are waiting for the border to be opened, said the Chairman of the Van Commerce Chamber. He expressed hope that the memorandum will become a basis for establishing further cooperation with Armenia. Both sides want the Armenian-Turkish border to open and bilateral ties to be established. They step up efforts in this direction, he said, pointing out prospects for cooperation in the tourist industry.

Martin Sargsyan said the memorandum is of political and moral importance as well.

Hakan Fidan invited all those present at the signing ceremony the event to attend the opening ceremony of Surb Khach Church in Akhtamar Island.
