Members of the RA Parliament, particularly Secretary of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov, and the RPA members Gagik Melikyan, Karine Achemyan, Rafik Grigoryan and Hakob Hakobyan, will leave for Nagorno-Karabakh as observers at NKR parliamentary elections.

The PACE Bureau will not send observers to the parliamentary elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu stated in Yerevan on May 14. According to him, PACE’s principle is not to send observers to frozen conflict zones.

Earlier Speaker of NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan appealed to the PACE President for sending observers to Karabakh.
